Burglary at Village Cafe in Brule
July 01, 2011

The Keith County Sheriff’s Office needs your help in solving a recent business Burglary.  

On June 24th Deputies were called to the Village Café in Brule.  Unknown persons broke in to the Café and stole a DVD player and a lap top computer.  Suspects also caused damage to the cash register.  The value of the stolen items was over $500.00.    



Burglary at Paxton

The Keith County Sheriff’s Office needs your help in solving a recent Burglary in Paxton.   

                On May 29th 2011 at about 5pm Deputies responded to the ball field in Paxton for a burglary.  Upon arrival Deputies learned that unknown suspects broke into the concession stand at the ball field.  Suspects damaged the building and then stole candy and pop valued at approximately $200.00.  Witnesses saw a dark colored SUV with a loud exhaust leaving the area.

The Ogallala Police Department needs your help in solving a recent theft. 

Sometime after May 27th 2011 unknown person stole a metal homemade trailer from the 1700 block of east 2nd St.  The trailer was painted white and had metal sides and a custom built tail gate made of metal pipe.  Value of the trailer was estimated at $8,000.00.

Criminal Mischief to a yard.

The Ogallala Police Department needs your help in solving a recent Criminal Mischief. 

On 051811 Officers were called to the 800 block of West D St. reference damage to a yard.  Unknown suspects sprayed an unknown chemical on the yard causing the sparyed areas to die and turn brown.  Damage to the yard was estimated to be several hundred dollars.

The owner of the damaged yard wants to offer an additional $200 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the responsible persons.

Building shot in County

The Keith County Sheriff’s Office needs your help in solving a recent Vandalism. 

                On April 23rd 2011 Deputies were called to the RB Storage building just west of Ogallala on Highway 30.  Unknown subjects fired a shot through the building.  The shot did damage to a vehicle and a boat that were stored in the building.   Total cost to repair the damage was over $1,000.00. 



Burglary to Windesign

The Ogallala Police Department needs your help in solving a recent Burglary. 

On the night of April 6th 2011 unknown person burglarized Windesigns in the 100 block of west 1st St.   Suspects stole cash from the business and did damage to the locks. 



Burglary near the Lake
April 07, 2011

The Keith County Sheriff’s Office needs your help in solving 2 Burglaries near the lake. 

On March 20th Deputies were called to Lakeshore subdivision reference a residential Burglary.  Deputies took a report of damage to the home including damage to a grand piano.  A second home was also burglarized.  This home was vandalized and several items were stolen including several firearms.  The damage to property and stolen items are valued at well over $5,000.00.

                The Keith County Sherriff’s Office needs your help in solving a recent theft.  On the Evening of March 21st 2011 unknown persons stole a Honda generator and miscellaneous tools from a field near the intersection of Road East G and Rd. East 80.  The value of the generator and tools totaled over $1100.



Theft of Copper

                The Keith County Sheriff’s Office needs your help in solving a recent theft. 

                During the month of February 2011 unknown persons stole copper wire from a pivot located in the 1500 mile of Road West 50.  Damage was estimated at over $5,000.00.



Theft from Platte River Inn

            The Ogallala Police Department needs your help in solving a recent theft. 

Sometime after January 31st, 2011 unknown persons stole 3 flat Screen LG TV’s, microwave and other items from rooms at the Platte River Inn.  Value of property stolen was over $1,500. 



Vandalisms in Ogallala

                The Ogallala Police Department needs your help in solving a several recent acts of Vandalism. 

                During the month of January 2011 unknown persons went around town and broke windows, stole Christmas ornaments and caused damage to lights and decorations.  Value of the damaged items was over $500.00.

Theft of School Bells

Sometime before January 24th, 2011 unknown persons climbed on top of Progress school and stole an exterior School Bell.  This bell had already been replaced once at the beginning of the school year.  Value of the 2 bells was over $150.

Thefts in Keith County
January 06, 2011

                The Keith County Sheriff’s Office needs your help in solving some recent thefts from the county. 

ARound December 3st Deputies took a report of 2 pipe trailers containing about 36 sections of pipe each that were stolen from the area of the 900 mile of Road West 75. The trailers and pipe were valued at about $8500.

Sometime before December 18th unknown persons entered a fenced in farmstead and stole approximately $4000 in tools, a Harrow farm implement, Shot gun shell reloader, fence posts and barb wire from a barn on the property.

Both of these thefts are considered felonies.

Thefts in Ogallala
January 05, 2011

The Ogallala Police Department needs your help in solving Thefts from Local Business’s

On December 1st 44 used car batteries were taken from behind NAPA Auto Parts.  The estimated loss of the batteries was $520. 

On December 15th unknown persons entered a fenced in area behind Kenfield electric and stole approximately 150 pounds of Copper wire valued at $450.



Vandalism at Ogallala Hydrodown
December 02, 2010

                The Ogallala Police Department needs your help in solving a several recent acts of Vandalism. 

                During the evening of November 24h unknown person spun out in the Ogallala Hydrodown parking lot causing rocks to be thrown towards the building.  Rocks were thrown up breaking several windows on the business.  The cost to replace the windows was over $2,000.00 making this crime a felony. 



Trailer Thefts in Keith County
December 01, 2010

The Keith County Sheriff’s Office needs your help in solving some recent thefts in the County. 

Sometime between November 3rd and November 5th 2010 unknown persons stole a camper trailer that was converted into a duck blind from the Eagle Canyon area.  The Duck blind was valued at over $1,000.

Then on November 9th deputies took a report of a stolen red gooseneck trailer from Fraser Welding in Brule.  The value of the stolen trailer was over $10,000 making this theft a felony.



Vandalism
October 02, 2010

                In the early morning hours of October 2nd unknown persons caused damage to more than 10 vehicles all around Ogallala.  It appeared that the subjects drove back and forth on several streets and struck car mirrors with a bat.  Several cars were left with broken mirrors and damaged paint.

Stolen Vehicle
September 25, 2010

On the night of September 25th   2010 unknown persons walked down West 8th St. and rummaged through several vehicles, stole yard light and damaged property.  While in the 800 block of West 8th the suspects stole a 1998 Toyota Camry that had the keys left in it.  The Toyota was later recovered on I-80 near Big Springs and was abandoned with motor damage.  The value of the stolen vehicle was around $3,500 making this theft a felony.  



Theft of Diving Suit from Pump and Pantry
September 08, 2010

            The Ogallala Police Department needs your help in solving a Theft of from the Pump and Pantry Motel. 

On the weekend of July 30th there was a fishing tournament at the lake.  Several of the contestants stayed at the Pump and Pantry Motel.  Unknown persons entered several boats during the night and stole fishing equipment and a Diving suit with hood and gloves.  Value of the diving suit alone was over $2,000 making this theft a felony. 



Thefts From Vehicles
